Biography

Hidetoshi Azuma is a social entrepreneur with a vision for a sustainable, resilient society with the power of emerging technologies. He is currently the Executive Vice President of Crypto Asset Central Bank Foundation & Cognitive Research Laboratories where he oversees research and analysis of the geopolitical impact of digital economy. Previously, he was the Tokyo-based Executive Assistant at Office of the President at Eurasia Group where he oversaw and expanded the company’s Japan portfolio while leading regular briefings on geopolitics of emerging technologies for government and corporate clients. His prior experience includes years of public relations career in Washington, DC, including APCO Institute fellow at APCO Worldwide. He is a regular columnist at the Japan Times and has been published on major global media outlets, including Foreign Affairs. He received MA from the Elliott School of International Affairs, the George Washington University and BA from Waseda University.
